Buying a ticket online in Côte d’Ivoire with mobile money
To buy a ticket online in Côte d’Ivoire, pick the event, select your ticket category, sign in with a verification code, then pay with Wave, Orange Money, MTN MoMo, Moov Money or a bank card. The ticket — a QR code — appears in your account as soon as the operator confirms the payment.
This guide walks through each step on TiketBurst, what to show at the door, and how to pass your ticket on if you can no longer come.
The steps of a purchase
Open the event page — from the catalogue, or the link the organizer shared on WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook. The price shown is the price you pay: it is in FCFA, and the platform’s commission comes out of the organizer’s revenue rather than being added to your basket.
Choose your category (standard, VIP, early bird…) and the number of seats. Your seats are then held for 5 minutes while you pay: nobody else can take them in that time. If you do not pay, they go back on sale.
- 1. Choose
- The event, the ticket category and the number of seats.
- 2. Sign in
- A verification code is enough — no password to create.
- 3. Pay
- Mobile money or card, in FCFA. Approve the payment request on your phone.
- 4. Receive
- The ticket appears under “Tickets” in your account as soon as the operator confirms.
Paying with Wave, Orange Money, MTN MoMo or Moov Money
Choose your operator at payment. Depending on the operator, you approve the transaction in your mobile money app or by confirming the request sent to your phone. Keep the phone at hand: the request expires if it is not approved.
No mobile money? Visa or Mastercard works too, which lets the diaspora or a company buy seats. Payment always settles in FCFA, with no exchange fees.
Accepted payment methods
- Wave
- Orange Money
- MTN MoMo
- Moov Money
- Visa / Mastercard
- Wallet TiketBurst
All payments settle in FCFA, with no exchange fees.
Paying in instalments
For some events the organizer allows payment in 2 or 3 instalments. Your seat is held from the first instalment, and the ticket is issued once the last one is paid. If the option does not appear at payment, the organizer has not enabled it for that event.
At the door: showing your QR code
Your ticket is a QR code that changes at short intervals — every 30 seconds by default. That is what protects your seat: a screenshot, or a stolen and reshared ticket, has expired before it reaches the gate. So show the ticket opened from your account, not a photo of it.
Open your ticket once before you leave, while you have signal, and arrive with a charged phone. Each ticket is validated only once: once scanned, it cannot be used again.
- No screenshots
- The code keeps changing; a still image is refused.
- The right phone
- Some organizers bind the ticket to the phone it is opened on. Open it on the one you will show at the door.
- Battery
- A dead phone shows no ticket. Charge it before you go.
Transferring or reselling your ticket
Can no longer make it? If the organizer allows it, transfer your ticket from your account. The old QR code is invalidated and a new ticket is issued to the recipient in the same operation: there are never two valid tickets for one seat.
Person-to-person resale is only possible if the organizer has enabled it, possibly with a price cap. Always buy on the official event page: a ticket sold hand to hand on WhatsApp may already have been transferred or scanned.
Frequently asked questions
How do I buy a concert ticket with Orange Money?
Open the event page, choose your ticket, sign in with the verification code, select Orange Money and approve the payment on your phone. The ticket appears in your account as soon as it is confirmed.
Can I pay for a ticket with Wave?
Yes. Wave, Orange Money, MTN MoMo, Moov Money, Visa or Mastercard and the TiketBurst wallet are accepted. Everything settles in FCFA.
Where do I find my ticket after paying?
Under the “Tickets” tab of your account. A confirmation may also be sent by email or SMS, depending on the event and your notification preferences.
Can I show a screenshot of my ticket at the door?
No. The QR code changes at short intervals (every 30 seconds by default) to prevent fraud, so a still image is refused. Show the ticket opened from your account.
How long are my seats held while I pay?
Five minutes. During that time nobody else can buy the seats you selected; after that, without payment, they go back on sale.
Can I give my ticket to a friend?
Yes, if the organizer allows transfers. Transfer it from your account: your QR code is deactivated and your friend receives a new ticket in their name.
My event was cancelled: will I be refunded?
The refund policy is set per event and shown on its page. If you run into trouble, contact the help centre with your order reference.
